The aim of the brnometer is to support the construction of the new Brno Buddhist Centre called the Diamond Way House. The launch of the construction this year is a culmination of a long-running activity of the Brno Centre members, aimed at providing all those interested in Buddhism with the best conditions for personal development. In the project of the new building, we have been able to design the Centre according to our ideas and needs. A big gompa, an extensive library and sufficient facilities will allow us to enhance our activities for the public, enabling frequent meetings of hundreds of friends.
The project is financed from voluntary donations and membership fees. In autumn 2008, we were awarded a grant from a private foundation and an interest-free loan which will need to be repaid in the following years. By a donation to the account of the Nydahl Endowment Fund, you will help repay this loan, making a successful realization of this construction possible. Regular donations in the form of a standing order are decisive for us as they enable us to preserve the project sustainability, to make regular repayments, etc. With regard to the bank charges, if you opt to send smaller amounts, we recommend to send them half-yearly, as charges for monthly payments are disadvantageous.
To rent one brnometer means to sponsor symbolically one square meter of the future centre by a regular monthly donation of CZK 111 to 111 111, for the minimum of one year.
